(Samba errror : unable to connect to CUPS server localhost – Connection refused)

To disable printing support, you should edit your samba configuration settings.

Edit or add the flowing line to your /etc/samba/smb.conf

load printers = no
printing = bsd
printcap name = /dev/null
disable spoolss = yes

    This worked great! Really sad that “load printers = no” doesn’t also set “disable spoolss”… if you have no printers, wouldn’t it make sense to kill the print services? Does anyone actually add and remove printers “on the fly”? Bad Samba.
